Here is the latest addition to our mood board series. This month, we share with you, specific details on some of our clubhouse and model unit design projects which allows us to illustrate our intended design and creative thought process. When we are trying to secure new business with potential or existing clients, and as part of the kick-off to every multifamily clubhouse or model unit redesign, we put together a mood board with ideas of sourced selections for the project which allows us to showcase the intended design aesthetic we have in mind. AUSTIN, TEXAS Clubhouse Design Strategy
This 256-unit garden style multifamily property, built in 1996, sits in a charming Austin, TX neighborhood near Town Lake and is surrounded by lush natural attractions that provide an ideal relaxing escape in the city. It hasn’t been renovated in many years and is in need of an upgrade to both the clubhouse and model unit interiors. Since the property caters to young professionals and college students alike, we felt it was only appropriate to create a “modernist Austin” theme which blends natural, earthy elements and rustic tones. For budget purposes, we’ll play off of the existing ceramic tile flooring while adding textured wall panels that will serve as a partial room divider from the reception to the lounge, we also plan to add hanging light fixtures with natural rope accents and will utilize reclaimed wood for the large walls which will create interest and incorporate an organic tone to the interiors. To soften the flooring and for acoustic purposes we will add areas rugs with a southwestern print. The furnishings, art and accessories will be a nod to the City’s cultural scene which is considered to be among the best in the World.
The existing space has over 20’ tall ceilings and a wall of windows which looks out directly onto the pool. We plan to re-align the lounge furniture so that both guests and residents can enjoy a beautiful vista from any direction. With multipurpose seating options, they’ll be able to comfortably relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or bring in their laptop and do a variety of other tasks in a tranquil yet uplifting setting.
